What is the purpose of the session?
If the answer is simply 'because P Company is hard', the plan needs more thought. The Army runs Pre-Parachute Selection in a controlled training environment. An independent civilian workout has different supervision, risk and authority. General strength and walking can be useful foundations without imitation of an official assessment.
Who is responsible for progression?
Ask whether a coach is appropriately qualified to assess your training history and explain progression. The correct workload depends on individual circumstances and cannot be safely prescribed to anonymous website readers. Someone returning from pain or injury needs suitable professional advice rather than a borrowed heavy-load target.
What does the existing week contain?
Loaded exercise adds demand on top of running, work and other activity. A plan that never considers the total week can hide cumulative fatigue. Record existing commitments and discuss which sessions would be adjusted, not merely which new ones would be added.
Which signs should stop the plan?
Persistent discomfort, unusual fatigue or concern about safety should prompt appropriate professional assessment. Online bravado is not a reason to ignore those signals. Military personnel should follow their own unit and medical chain rather than conflicting civilian advice.
What outcome can be measured honestly?
A civilian plan may track consistency, technique under supervision and recovery discussions. It cannot generate an Army-approved march mark or guarantee selection. Be suspicious of a seller who blurs that line.
A useful next step
Before starting any new loaded session, ask a competent professional to explain its purpose, prerequisites, progression, recovery provision and stopping criteria. If there is no clear answer, defer it.
