Record what happened, not what was planned
Write down the activity you actually completed, broad effort, how it fitted around the week and any concern about recovery. Overly elaborate tracking can turn into another burden. The point is to recognise consistency and meaningful changes, not collect flattering numbers.
Do not compare against invented selection predictions
Some websites convert civilian run and strength results into a claimed probability of passing P Company. The Army does not delegate its selection decisions to these tools. Your log can help a properly qualified coach discuss everyday training, but it cannot replace official assessment.
Look for repeated interruptions
A training week may seem impressive until you examine the number of sessions missed because of exhaustion or persistent pain. If the same problem recurs, seek qualified advice. A durable preparation approach treats recovery as part of work, not evidence of weak character.
Fit the record to your life
Include enough context to notice if unusual travel, work pressure or interrupted sleep changes the pattern. You do not need to publish personal medical information or military records to an independent provider. Choose an appropriate private method for your own notes.
Share only what is necessary
If you hire a civilian coach, agree what details they actually need and how they will handle information. Serving candidates should follow their unit's requirements and avoid putting sensitive service information into commercial systems.
A useful next step
After four weeks, ask three questions: what was repeatable, what caused interruptions and which one adjustment would make the next month more sustainable? Do not calculate an unofficial P Company pass score.
